Three-wheelers
bicycle
with a flapping thruster and a drive the cyclist’s legs
Analogues
1. For a
long time, attempts have bee made to develop a bicycle with flapping
wings that can take off from the ground.
Ornithopters were designed to fly by flapping
their wings like birds, an idea as old as time. James W. Clark, clock maker, bicycle repairman and inventor, of Bridgewater,
Pennsylvania, supposedly tested this machine between 1900 and
1910. It failed to fly, was wrecked, then rebuilt and fitted
with the present engine about 1907. If Clark had flown in 1900,
this would be the oldest gasoline engine- powered flying machine
in existence.

In the result, there are
no bicycles with flapping wings that can steadily fly. Moreover, it is
to the good that they cannot still fly, otherwise there would have been
too many accidents.
Not long ago, a
bicycle has been made in the USA that can move on the ground with the
use of thrust generated by a propeller. The authors of this bicycle
state that its speed can amount to 30 km/hour.
We propose to
develop not a flying bicycle but a vehicle that can move on the ground
with the use of thrust generated by oscillating wings.
Due to
the use of advanced technologies (related to oscillation aerodynamics
and oscillating drives), we can develop a bicycle with a flapping
wing as a thruster.
Our
bicycle will have exceedingly small oscillating wings and a very
effective thruster due to the use of a number of new effects of
oscillating non-linear aerohydrodynamics. Moreover, a prop thruster is
dangerous for people, and an oscillating wing is totally safe.

Technical characteristics
Three-wheelers bicycle moving on the ground with the use of propulsive thrust
generated by an oscillating wing. The wing has flat configuration (in
the form of a vertically placed leaf). A drive works from the cyclist
legs. Various pictures can be painted at a wing, including advertising
ones.
Size:
height 2 m, width - 0.7 m, length - 3 m.

accumulators
Analogues
Many
companies are producing three-wheelers bicycle with a wheel drive from an
electric motor.
We propose
to develop an original bicycle with a thruster in the form of an
oscillating wing. An unusually small size of an oscillating wing and
high thruster efficiency are obtained due to the use of a number of new
effects of oscillating non-linear aerohydrodynamics.

The next generation could be a high-speed three-wheeler bicycle with a flapping
thruster and drive from an electric motor with an accumulator. Its speed
would amount to
30 km per hour.
